Restaurant Upgrade
More Space, Smoother Service, and Enhanced Atmosphere
As part of the 2025–2026 expansion, Aurora Village has also upgraded and expanded its restaurant to match the growing capacity of the village. The accommodation now offers a total of 144 bed spaces (+ extra beds), while the restaurant provides 120 guest seats. The expansion has brought with it smoother service, improved functionality, and a more comfortable dining experience even during peak season.

The restaurant upgrade includes:
A private cabinet for small groups (up to 10 guests) and more intimate dining
A welcoming bar area for relaxed evenings and social moments
Additional restroom facilities, improving flow and overall comfort
A cozy fireplace lounge, adding warmth and atmosphere to winter nights
The goal of the upgrade has been to combine increased capacity with comfort and tranquility, maintaining the peaceful and premium dining experience Aurora Village is known for.
The restaurant now serves as the natural heart of the village — a place where guests gather after safaris, share experiences, and enjoy Arctic evenings in a warm and inviting setting.

New Safari House
Smoother Operations and Better Guest Flow
As part of the 2025–2026 expansion, Aurora Village has introduced a new Safari House, designed to improve daily operations and enhance the guest experience before and after activities.

The Safari House serves as a dedicated base for safaris and excursions, offering:
A clear and organized meeting point for guests
More efficient preparation and logistics for guides
Improved flow for groups heading out to activities
By separating safari operations from accommodation and restaurant areas, the new Safari House helps maintain the peaceful atmosphere of the village while ensuring excursions run smoothly and on schedule.
New Guest Clothing – Designed for Arctic Conditions
we have upgraded our guest clothing and winter gear to ensure maximum comfort and safety in all Arctic conditions.
Our new guest clothing includes:
A warm, insulated winter overall
Winter boots suitable for cold and snowy conditions
Insulated mittens for warmth and comfort

When needed, guests are also provided with:
Wool socks for extra insulation
A thermal balaclava / helmet liner for added protection
For specific activities such as ice karting and snowmobiling, guests are additionally equipped with a helmet, ensuring safety without compromising comfort.
These clothing upgrades allow guests to fully enjoy Aurora Village’s activities and excursions — warm, protected, and focused on the experience rather than the weather.
Souvenir Shop

The village has also been enriched with a new souvenir shop, offering carefully selected mementos from the Arctic. Guests can find a wide range of items, including local handicrafts such as traditional kuksa cups, knives, and handmade candles, as well as winter clothing, Nordic gnomes, postcards, and many other unique souvenirs to take a piece of Lapland home with them.

OTHERS

A new 16-seat Mercedes Sprinter
The new vehicle allows:
Smoother and more flexible airport and hotel transfers
Improved comfort for group travel
More efficient logistics during peak season
We have introduced six electric go-karts for ice-karting, making us the first location in the world to operate electric karting in true Arctic conditions.
Despite the challenging winter environment, the electric karts have performed exceptionally well, offering a reliable and enjoyable driving experience even in cold temperatures.
The village environment has also been enriched with new atmospheric details, including a traditional kelo wood gateway and a beautifully crafted kelo wood swing. These elements add character and warmth to the area, strengthening the connection to local craftsmanship and the surrounding Arctic nature.
Updated Age Policy
Designed for a Calm and Adult-Oriented Atmosphere
As part of the overall development of Aurora Village, the minimum age limit has been updated to 12 years and older. This decision reflects our desire to further profile Aurora Village as a destination primarily for adults and older children, where peace, silence, and relaxation are at the heart of the experience.

By setting a minimum age limit, we are able to:
Maintain a calm and tranquil atmosphere throughout the village
Better meet the expectations of guests seeking relaxation and quality time
Create an environment that is well suited to Arctic conditions, especially during colder winter periods
This policy helps ensure the right kind of atmosphere for both our guests and staff, allowing everyone to fully enjoy the unique surroundings, nature, and experiences Aurora Village offers.
A Thoughtful Step Forward
The 2025–2026 season marks an important milestone for Aurora Village. Every upgrade has been carefully designed with one clear goal: to create a calm, high-quality, and authentic Arctic experience.
While Aurora Village continues to grow, our core values remain unchanged. Silence, nature, and space to breathe are still at the heart of everything we do — now delivered in a more seamless and refined way.
We look forward to welcoming you to experience Aurora Village as it continues to evolve, thoughtfully and with respect for the Arctic environment.
