COVID-19 MEASURES AT AURORA VILLAGE IVALO

Aurora Village is a small resort with a great layout for social distancing. All 28 rooms are separate cabins (igloos) located minimum 10 meters (32′) apart from each other.

We instruct guest and staff to only arrive without COVID-19 symptoms and to take good care of hand hygiene, to maintain safety distance and to avoid physical contact.

We constantly follow the instructions of the Finnish Institute of Health and Welfare and the restrictions of the Finnish Government.

COVID-19 CANCELLATION POLICY

IN CASE OF A LOCKDOWN, OR IF THE TRAVELERS ARE ASKED TO GO INTO QUARANTINE, DUE TO THE PANDEMIC IN FINLAND OR THE ORIGIN COUNTRY OF THE CLIENT, WE WILL NOT CHARGE ANY CANCELLATION FEES.

FIRST OPTION IS TO POSTPONE THE STAY FREE OF CHARGE.

SECOND OPTION IS TO PROVIDE A VOUCHER WORTH FULL BOOKING VALUE.

AS THIRD OPTION THE BOOKING WILL BE FULLY REFUNDED WHEN POSSIBLE.

IN CASE THE CLIENT CAN’T TRAVEL DUE TO COVID-19 INFECTION, WE OFFER TO POSTPONE THE TRIP WITHOUT ANY EXTRA COST, EVEN FOR A YEAR.

Reception

We have installed plexiglass protective shields at our reception desk to protect staff and guests.

Qualified hand sanitizers are available at reception desk.

We do not require manual signatures at the check-in process and recommend online check-in when possible.

Contactless Mobile room key is also available at request for Android smartphone users.

Houskeeping and cleaning

We have enhanced our housekeeping and cleaning procedures, added use of desinfectants to provide even cleaner accommodation.

Day Cleaning

By default we provide day cleaning to all rooms, but the you can always request us to skip your room for day cleaning.

Sanitizing service

Also extra sanitizing service is available on request, which means ionizing and ozonizing the entire cabin to kill all possible bacteria and viruses. This extra service must be booked and paid (50 EUR fee) in advance minimum 2 days prior to arrival.

Safari equipment

We sanitize all safari equipment like overalls, boots, gloves etc. on daily basis.

Restaurant

Hand sanitizers are available at the restaurant. We advise maintaining safety distance and have added cleaning procedures at place.

Dinner and Breakfast

Dinner and breakfast are served as a buffet when there’s more than 10 guests in-house.

If there’s less than 10 people we serve to table.

Breakfast room service

It’s possible to order breakfast to your room at a low service fee.

Activities

We mainly operate activities in small groups of 1 – 6 persons for our individual guests. Group activities are also often divided in smaller sub-groups.

Equipment

All safari equipment are sanitized on daily basis.

Wilderness meals

Possible wilderness meals are served by our professional guides taking good care of the safety measures without losing the wilderness athmosphere.

Private tours

It’s possible to purchase private tours to avoid unnecessary human contact.
