The autumn season is a mystique one, giving you an unforgettable experience when enjoying it in nature. Our glass roof Aurora Cabins are an amazing experience around the year on their own. However, in autumn you can enjoy the glow of the Northern Lights and millions of stars glowing in the sky in one of our glass igloos. The beds are placed under the window, so you will have a view of the sky straight from your comfy bed. How romantic is that? In every cabin, the glass roof is directed to the northern sky, as the Northern Lights are best seen there.
The main features of our glass igloos
The cabins are designed for two people, but they can accommodate 1-2 extra beds with an additional fee if required in advance. Please note, that the more beds are in the igloo, the less floor space is left. All the cabins have a super comfortable bed and a bathroom with a shower, with high-quality shampoo and conditioner from the Rituals brand.
The rooms do not have a TV as we want to encourage our guests to enjoy nature and the view from the sky. What could be a better TV than the dancing Northern Lights and the glowing stars?
We also encourage our guests to respect nature. Therefore, every igloo has its own water heater, which gives hot water for about 10 minutes. The water tank takes about the same time to fill up with the hot water again. In addition to this, there is a recycling option in all the cabins. Our tap water is brought to you from the natural underground water reserve, making it extremely clean and drinkable. Water quality is regularly tested by an external laboratory. You can feel safe enjoying the fresh Lappish water straight from the tap. If you run out of coffee or tea, feel free to ask more from the reception.
From the 1st of September onwards, your booking price will include breakfast and a 3-course dinner in Restaurant Loimu.

We are determined to make your experience with us as unforgettable as possible. Therefore, in addition to the amazing Aurora Cabins, we want to make sure you can eat well in an atmospheric restaurant. Imagine yourself sipping a high-quality wine or hot chocolate while looking into a fireplace with your loved one after a mouthwatering 3-course dinner. Sounds pretty good, right?
Our Restaurant Loimu is located in the main building, so you can always have easy access to high-quality food when staying with us. The restaurant features an atmospheric dining area with curved windows and a fireplace in the middle. There are a few armchairs around the fireplace where you can enjoy drinks by the fire – and have your imagination come true!
The restaurant serves delicious, high-quality buffet breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We are committed to using local ingredients as much as possible, such as blueberries, cloudberries, lingonberries, reindeer meat, and local fish. During the winter season 2022-2033, the dinner menu is a daily changing, three-course menu, which is included in your accommodation price, in addition to a delicious buffet breakfast.
The distances here in Lapland are longer, so we want to make sure that everything is prepared before your arrival. Therefore, it is important for us to know about special diets and allergies in advance. You can find more information about our restaurant here.
We have also designed our drink list to match our menus and the Lappish atmosphere to make your experience complete. The menu includes local beer brewery products from Lapin Panimo, ciders, and quality wines, such as organic wines and wines produced in Finland (the grapes come from Central Europe). You can also order special coffees and hot chocolate to keep you warm and cozy during your stay.
Complete your Lappish experience with activities of your choice
We offer a great variety of activities and there are plenty of trekking paths available right from our front door. We also have our own stable, which means that you can enjoy horseback riding in the wilderness directly from our own stable.
For Northern Lights seekers, we have a few options depending on the time of the year. In autumn, you can go for the Northern Lights search with our experienced guide in a car. The guide will study the weather forecast during the afternoon to make sure that we can drive to the places where the sky is clear since the clear sky is one of the main aspects to see the Northern Lights. Our professional guides will tell you interesting stories about the Northern Lights and you can enjoy a hot drink. The photos taken during the trip will be shared with you, so you can cherish the memories later on.
For the wild ones, we recommend our river paddle adventure during the autumn season. Explore River Ivalo, on this exciting guided packrafting tour, where you can paddle approx. 12 kilometers on the main river in the area, or rent the packraft for yourself and go to explore the beautiful lakes surrounding us. The packrafts are high quality and safe, from the Finnish packraft brand, Melomo.
In addition to previously mentioned activities, you can also enjoy various hikes and rent sup boards, or fat bikes to explore around. If you just want to take it easy and relax, we have a Panorama Sauna and an outdoor jacuzzi on a scenery terrace.
Enjoy a bit of luxury on your autumn day and relax after a hike in a Barrel Sauna, next to a natural swimming spot. This is a truly traditional Finnish experience with a wood-heated Sauna stove and fresh swimming water that will make you relaxed for sure.
